		<description>The mantra of not linking out just seems anti-social and cult-ish.  It may be cliche, but there'd be no Shire to go back to if no one linked.

Luckily, plenty of the top 100 bloggers link to tons of things every day.</description>

		<description>This article is an interesting read, but the comparison with the rise of capitalism seems to me a bit overdone. Attention as a chokepoint is not what has moved power from the real world to the web; users' attention *moving* online is what's done it - that's a big distinction.</description>
